Calibrating the battery right now in BIOS

It came with 1x1GB 667 like I hoped for...same manufacturer and oem code as shadow85...I checked in CPU-Z. Also, my BIOS is 209. I added another stick of KingMAX 667 1GB. Boots as 2GB now so thats great.

I just took a browse around Windows..question why is there 2 partitions...one is like 60gb(c :) the other is 40gb(d :) Is there anything I need to do before I format it and install XP Pro? I just can't handle all that crap at the bottom tray icon menu.

No corner problem that ppl have of the lcd lid(where it's uneven)....no creaks or anything. Solidly built. I don't notice any keyboard flex...well maybe just a tiny bit but nothing remotely close to bad quality.

Prof: Actually there should be 3 partitions, C, D and a hidden recovery partition. I formatted the C and D, but left the hidden partition alone for now, just in case I might need it in the future. But up to you, you prob can get rid of it if you want.

Congrats on your new machine :)

After you reformat with windows XP, you'll need to install a bunch of drivers off the a8 driver disk. Otherwise even the network card wont function. Just a heads up for you :)
