So I just received my new pc and was wondering:

What's the best way to charge and prolong my new battery?

What exactly should I be looking for in terms of "zero bright dot LCD warranty?

Is there any special "power saving" options I could use to make the battery last longer? (when not plugged in)

Any tips (i.e. look for updated drivers, etc?)

I noticed that the laptop does not come with S-video, but it comes with 1 * TV out? How is that different? What's the best way to connect the laptop to a tv?

I think the laptop comes with pre-installed norton antivirus software? Is this only free for one year? On my old laptop I used a free one (AVG)...should I download this one instead.

Any tips, help or advice with the above (or more) would be appreciated. Thanks soooo much.

I would suggest you take a look in the Guides forum (accessible from the top-level of the forums). Much of your questions are answered there. Some things you may find in the guides linked from my signature.

Battery being your first question, I'll give a short answer. First time you charge it, charge it to full (don't interrupt charging).

Then, make sure you do a full discharge & recharge at least once a couple of months. Keeps the batt on its toes :D

Other than that, there's no special care that you should give it. Use it when you need it.
