    K42JC Nvidia driver freezing

    My laptop seems to freeze when I install the latest nvidia drivers from nvidia site or the latest drivers from asus website.

    However the drivers that are on the laptop disk seem to work fine. I'm guessing there must be some conflict with the Intel drivers, but without them the laptop doesn't seem to recognize the Nvidia card.

    Please advise, I don't care for battery life so I just need the latest nvidia drivers running for Photoshop/Max.
