Hey all
I bought this computer for my sister. It is the model with a 120 GB SSD and a 500 GB harddrive. I tried testing it in games, and I noticed that sometimes the screen will freeze for half a second when running on the 500 GB harddrive. When I put the games on the SSD drive, it won't freeze at all. It is not a huge problem, and the games are definitely playable, but I still think it is kind of strange.
The harddrive is a HTS725050A7E630 ( http://hdd.userbenchmark.com/SpeedTest/386/HGST-HTS725050A7E630), and I tried testing it using the tool on userbenchmark.com, and it said that it performed like it should. Furthermore, the S.M.A.R.T doesn't report anything unusual.
So I don't get that I get these very short freezes sometimes. Nothing in particular is running in the background, - the CPU-usage in idle is normal, the RAM is normal, and so on.
I'm in doubt if the drive is faulty or just low quality.
If you have some thoughts, please leave them here.
Kind Regards
Peter
