    is there a way to turn off the double tap feature on the touch pad. I hate it. My HP has Synaptics but this Asus dose not. Im running a clean Win7 Home Premium.

    The option should be under your mouse properties in control panel

    nope. just double click. this touchpad said standerd ps/2 mouse port. under properties it only has general, driver, and details. then a change settings. under change settings you get general, driver, details, and resources. nothing on double tap
