I broke a key on my A8 keyboard such that the little white hinged plastic piece beneath the key cracked. The top of the key is fine and the key still functions, but without that white plastic piece there's no way to re-attach the key.

I've seen similar white plastic pieces under notebook keys before, but I don't know exactly how standard they are or where to buy another piece.

Does anyone know where I can buy this little white plastic piece? It's for a standard sized square key, not the Enter key or anything. Thanks!

You can't buy parts of a keyboard, but you can replace the entire keyboard (much easier) for about $10-$15 at the Asus estore.

okay, I bought a new keyboard. Is there a service manual that instructs how to remove the old one and install the new one?

    Remove screws marked K underneath.
Unclip the keyboard along the top edge using credit card or thin screwdriver.
Remove keyboard, and detach cable from motherboard.
    Reverse above to install.
