Hey, I signed up because I needed some help with my Asus Lapop. If this is the wrong place to post this, forgive me. I had to remove the F11 key because a crumb or something went between the cracks. I carefully removed the key, but now I cannot figure out how to replace it properly. I can push the key in and I'll here the snap noise, but only the right side of the key will lock in. The left side is loose and wobbly. Can anyone tell me how I should go about replacing it properly?

Do you have a warranty for you ASUS laptop? You might want to replace the parts, because from my experience I my | -- | key broke (it was loose/wobbly) and it ended up with Super Glue. If alot of your keys falls off, buy a new keyboard from ebay for replacement.

It's just the one key, I'll be taking it into a shop tomorrow to see if they can re attach it. I believe all the pieces are there, I just was having trouble attaching it myself and wanted to know if anyone knew how. Thanks for the help. :)

You may have broken one of the tabs on the plastic scissors that hold the keycap on. In that case you need a new keyboard - I don't think those are replaceable. :(

Like ALLurGroceries mentioned, you'll most likely need a keyboard replacement. If your laptop is still under warranty, request for a keyboard cross-shipment from Asus if you're able to replace the keyboard yourself. This way you won't be without your laptop for a week waiting for the repair.
