    Hello everyone,

As I am sure you are aware I am painfully new to this forum. I have only recently become the proud owner of a g73sw-xt1. I purchased it after pushing the OCing of my desktop a bit to far. But I digress....

After reading a great review of the Killer N 1102, found here, I am wondering if it is worth twice the price($46 shipped) of the intel 6200. The benchmarks proffered tend to persuade me that it is. But, I wonder if anyone here has had any real world experience with this particular card in an Asus. Or, I wonder if anyone can offer a compelling reason why I should or should not get this for my g73.

I have read about the improvements that the 6200 has made in your systems. The above link only compares the 6300 to the 1102. I assume the 6200 and 6300 are very similar, save for the mimo 2x2 to 3x3 difference, specifically in terms of latency performance. My main focus is on adversarial gaming so latency is a main issue for me. I am aware of how trivial the difference is between .7 milliseconds average latency (1102) and 6.17 (6300). But, if you look at the last benchmark, the worst 10% average, the 1102's worst is .79 where as the 6300 jumps to 26.3. That seems like rock solid consistency out of the 1102. Hopefully someone can confirm that.

Thanks in advance for any advice offered.

IN our experience, we have had a lot of success with those Bigfoot cards. Those benchmarks seem to hold up from our tests and customer feedback, so personally, I would go with the Bigfoot cards over the Intel cards. I have a 6200 series card in my machine now and I am currently looking to upgrade...

Why dont you go with 1103? IMO unless you have serious problem with your stock card or in need of one that can fully utilize your network's bandwidth, you can stay with the stock one or put out 20-30 bucks for an Intel 6xxx card. It all depends on your usage and wallet.
