Does anyone know if the Asus L5000GA/GX can take DDR 400 memory as the Asus web site just lists DDR 266/333 in the specs?
Also if you could tell me your thoughts on this machine as I'm thinking of buying one real soon.
Thanks

I assume you are referring to this:
http://www.asus.com/prog/spec.asp?m=L5000GA%20Series&langs=01
If thats what it says, then that is how it is.

yeh i'm referring to that spec page on the Asus page, but in the review at http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/asus_l5000ga/page2.asp,

On the memory side, ASUS equips the L5000GA with DDR400 memory from Corsair. Corsair, in case you didnt know, is well known for its high quality DDR memory. In fact we use it here on our testbeds. The ASUS website lists DDR333 for the L5000GA because its still the most popular SO-DIMM in the market, but ASUS USAs marketing team is pushing for the qualification of Corsair DDR400 modules for use in the L5000GA.
It looks like it could use DDR400.
