It was pretty scary...but thankfully everything is okay and there doesn't seem to be any kind of ridiculous damage. Thank you for the warm wishes.

I'm really sorry if anyone got hurt! I haven't heard of anything yet.

...but as an intern here in LA from NY, that was awesome!! Did I miss the aftershock already?

That fault line is supposed to be long overdue, I've heard... does that area of the US implement building designs resistant to tremors?

Nobody here has basements if that's what you mean. It's so weird.

It is also very sunny here all summer. Except at night. I doubt this has much to do with the earthquakes, though.

No, I am referring to designs similar to that of the Japanese; buildings that are designed to remain standing and uncompromised after an earthquake, not a basement.

Los Angeles as far as i know is the best equipped to handle earthquakes in the US. it was a 5.4 and it really wasnt anything serious. no serious injuries or anything.

Thank you for your concern. :)
Everything is fine here, the quake was very strong, we were standing outside of the building for while waiting for aftershocks to end, also the phone and cell phone was down a while. thankfully we still able to ship out most of the orders.

That's great to hear you're alright Ken :D
I was just watching the news, and saw bricks and other debris on the street in LA. Lucky no one got seriously injured :)

Ya, I think the worst that happened was a water main broke in the street in downtown LA. My house was built in 1918, so it swayed a little more than what is comfortable.
