I have a A6VC laptop, which i had it for about 1 year and half.

i had couple problems with it along the way,
had to replace the keyboard, Monitor because it would not turn on and motherboard along with monitor because they thought both were making problems.

I had replaced my motherboard about 5months ago, and it has been good with no problems arising from it

However, currently, i have Lan and wireless problem which is pissing me off, every time i hook up a cable or turn on wireless, its giving me limited connection, and if i try to renew my ip address from Dos, using ipconfig, or doing it from windows, it's telling me it can't do it.

I thought it could be the cable or the router, so i tried switiching up the cable and the router, but no sucess.

Not only that, i have a desktop that runs on the same router, which is working fine

I also tried connecting the laptop to the modem directly without the router, and its still giving me limited connection, which is just piss off.

I am trying to put it back to factory default, if it would solve it or not, otherwise, i have to take it back again.

The support techinician told me u can do factory default without cd, by pressing some F# key, and i am not sure which keyh it is.... Does anyone know how to do factory default without the CD? I have the CD, but i think its better if i use the factory default on the hard drive.

The key for system restore is F9, press it during bootup (at the ASUS logo).

I would first uninstall the LAN and wireless driver and reinstall them, see if that solves the problem.
