    Hello !

I'm interested in the N53JQ model which is due on september (in France at least ;) )

I'm new to Asus and I have 2-3 questions, especially regarding the LCD display:

1° Is Asus known (renowned  ) for the quality of its Full HD LCD displays on N Series ? I do both photo apps (++) and gaming ?
2° Is the overall built quality good on N Series ?
3° Is there any consequent drawbacks specific to Asus to be aware of ?

Thanks a lot for your answers !

    Cheers,

1: dno about "renowned" ability of asus but i know for sure that the n53 screen is very good. I wouldnt put in the range of the dell xps/envy radiance screens but it is very very good. I just installed new drivers and gameplay is extremely good on the laptop overall; also plan to start using photoshop on this soon, probably after i install a ssd/momentus on this thing. the only downside with the screen would be that it does take some time to calibrate before its at optimum colour/brightness but that may have just been because im very picky about how i want things to look.

    2. overall buildquality is very sturdy. i can tell u know this thing runs VERY quiet even under full load but it does get a little warm but nothing unbearable. the overall structure is well built in my opinion with maybe only the bottom seeming a bit flimsy but that's compared to the overall quality of the laptop itself

    3. it is fairly heavy and not the best computer for a portability factor. If u are however looking to use it as a desktop replacement then by all means its a very good choice.

Hope i helped. Check the users lounge for updates. Theres not many of us owners right now but im sure it'll pick up soon!

I really thank you for your reply !

Since you have the N53 Full HD, fonts and so on aren't too small ???
I don't know 7 but on XP using the enlarged fonts and icons option was merely a sort of "zoom in". The result was simply ugly... Hope 7 is better on that point.
