Hi, I just replaced the video card on my Z71V. Thankfully, now the computer is working when plugged into an external monitor, but if I try using the LCD without the external monitor plugged in, I only get a plain white screen (backlighting seems to be working fine). Furthermore, the computer can't seem to find the LCD screen in either Windows XP or Ubuntu; I can only access and change the settings for the external screen.

Does anybody have any idea why the LCD isn't working right? Any advice about how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Jesse

Nevermind folks, I got it working. Something must not have been plugged in all the way, because I took out the card and put it back in, and now it's working fine! Sorry for the trouble.
