Which of the 15" laptops have LED screens? NewEgg shows a bunch of the N50 laptops have LED but is that correct? I know the N81 has one, but I'm looking for a 15".

The Asus N50's with the 1280x800 resolution monitors are LED, and the ones that have the 1440x900 resolution are regular CCFL-lit.

The new N51's are all lit by LED screens though.

Do you guys know where I can find the nit ratings on the screens? Screen is so important. I've got a W2V now and don't want to take a step back on the screen.

The only way to find out the brightness is to use EVEREST or PC Wizard to get to the screen model number and then search that model number online.

Some reviewers on notebookcheck test the actual screen brightness, so you could take a peek at their reviews and find out that way.

Everest tells me my monitor name is "plug and play" and the ID is MS_0000, manufactured 1990. Seems like it wasn't able to pick up the brand?

Another option is to go to your Hardware ID in your control panel -> device manager.
