[Copying my thread from general section to Asus in the hopes I can get some feedback in this section as that section has numbballs]

    Guys

After a ground-breaking NBR surfing session, I've finally settled on the ASUS N71JQ-X1.

    http://www.amazon.com/N71JQ-X1-17-3...-Laptop/dp/tech-data/B00352LR0M/ref=de_a_smtd

I know the one at XoticPC has BR but I don't need that and also trying to keep the cost down.

A close second was the Sony F Vaio series (16.4' LED Screen). Now the Asus doesn't have LED backlit screen, from the description, so I'm wondering how much of a difference does this make for somebody who upgrades once very 2 years?

I'm coming from a HDX18 with Infinity screen so not sure if LED screens are really worth that much over non-LED screens.

What are u guys opinions on LED vs Non-LED screens? Should it be a primary factor towards a Asus laptop purchase in 2010?

    Cheers

^ Thanks for confirming that. This pretty much seals the deal for me.

Repped too for taking out the time and posting the obvious which was NOT so obvious to me.
