I was wondering if anyone has tried an LV Core Duo on their ASUS build and can maybe comment on how much additional battery life they gain over a standard voltage one. The TDP is 31W for SV and 15W for LV so I would expect some noticable difference even if they both downclocked most of the time. The current fastest LV Core Duo is the L2400 which at 1.66GHz seems a bit slow. There's suppose to be a 1.83GHz L2500 soon and if I were to go that route, that's probably the one I'd pick. Doesn't seem to be any LV Meroms in the near future. If it'll give me at least 10% more battery life over the 2GHz T2500 in the W3J, it would be worth the extra cost and performance reduction. I'm assuming a 1.83GHz LV would perform exactly the same as a 1.83GHz SV, just save more power. LVs seem very hard to find though.

Seems that the L2500 low voltage processor is being released on the 3rd September:

I too would like to know what difference the L2400 would make to battery life. I expect on laptops with dedicated graphics it would have relatively less impact than on integrated gfx laptops. I'm considering this either for an Asus or P1 laptop.
