Has anyone heard when Asus will release the specs and the production date for the Lambo?

It should be available around June, it will be V6J + nVidia video( which chipset not decided yet) + A top cover, price will be MSRP US$2799.

that thign better be packing a sweet nvidia graphics card. cuz to me another grand just for a lambo lcd cover and logo arent worth it
-
Wow... my wallet hurts just looking at it. I agree with dj, and am not sure that the specs will balance a price tag of 2799 - at least not for my needs. The Acer TM8204WLMi is close to the same price point (2499 I believe) with the X1600. Personally, I vote W3J

you also gotta consider the fact that this baby is gonna be lighter, thinner, better looking than the Acer 8204. Also one big negative is that this is not widescreen... it jsut a normal 15" 4:3 aspect ratio screen.
Also will prolly come with a 2.1 or a 2.0 Yonah, anywhere from 2-4gb of ram @ 667 mhz, should prolly come with a big hard drive, but may be pata @ 7200rpm.
May not have DVI, but will have everything else.
May Come with a remote, but who know.
May also come with goodies, like bag, mouse, keyboard, all being bluetooth.
IPS screen? who knows.
Hope this helps, in determining the potential in this baby.
Thanks,

Yeah, some of the pics Danny took show the Lambo with what looks like a matte type display as well. I guess we'll see what's what when the specs are finalized, but I was expecting a lot more from this model. I just don't see enough yet to justify that big of a price jump over the current V6J.
I guess we'll all see sometime soon, but as I already said, I'm not impressed at all at this point. I was never personally interested or considering this model anyways, but I was expecting more from ASUS, especially in a special/flagship model like this. At this price point, they might as well go all out or go home...
I also feel kinda bad for those who have been holding out for this model...I guess time will tell though... -

Of course Asus tries to make alot more profit on these models
. For these models, Asus is aiming different market, not poor students(Sorry to say that)
The reasons Asus gave: A lamboghini car costs $300,000, do you think these buyers will bargain a laptop with you? What they want is something unique.
For the S6F, Asus wants to sell $3000/each, they asked: Many ladies buy a small handbag at $800 each without blinking her eyes, do you think she will bargain for a $3000 laptop?, Maybe she doesn't even know how to turn it on, but she wants it to show her taste and scale -

I fully understand It's not aimed at students...but Since It's supposed to embody performance and luxury, and in many ways become Asus's flagship model...It should be loaded with the best specs possible at It's time of release. My point is, It's already priced high, so why not price it even higher and include all the goodies, eg, GPU, IPS etc. and really differentiate it from the V6J.
Even If many of those who buy it don't appreciate what it can do, there still will be many in the know willing to fork over the cash to have this system, and it's those people who will want to know that their lambo asus, no matter what they paid for it, is the best of the best. Anything less is a waste of the whole concept in my opinion.
Anyways...
About the S6, will you be carrying it, when can we expect it to be available and what options will the North American market get? Will we get the non-leather versions? Thanks -

S6 should be available around June, I got the US$3000 price during joking with Asus guys, the actual price should be around US$2500, but it is still about $100 more than W2J.
W3J: $1800
V6J: $1900
W2J: $2400
S6F: $2500
Lambo: $2800
Which one is better? It is your decision.
If the non-leather version here? I am not sure now. -

Hypothetically, If the non-leather S6F version comes to North America, will it still be considered a special limited edition and carry the same premium price tag...or will it slot in line with the W5F and W3J pricing range?
Overall I think the W3J is the best value by far...but the S6F, with it's form factor and specs is one crazy ultra-ultra portable laptop. It's fit and finish looks to be some of the highest quality produced by Asus to date. I'm almost 99.9% getting a W3J ( I'm waiting on 2 or 3 user/consumer reviews to fill in that last .01%) but I'm keeping my eye on the S6, so please keep us up to date with the latest Danny!!! Yeah, well when you've got Prada going in on naming rights for the leather on the S6.... you're **** right it's going to be expensive.... and because we're talking limited editions of both the S6 and the Lambo Vx1 --- they'll not only get whatever they're asking for them, but they're going to sell out quickly..... and Danny, you're right... they're certainly not aimed at poor college students...... -

You two wanna comment on the possibility of a non-leather S6F coming to North America and potential pricing please???
