For G1 users, or anyone for that matter. When you play video games is a laptop cooler a must have? I play WoW, Dawn of War, Simcity 4, Warcraft III, Starcraft and Diablo. Would I need one? I hear they are not expensive, around 20-30 dollars for one. Would I need this or are my games "safe" to play as they are not cutting edge graphics.

The games you mentioned sounds "safe" to play on the G1... However, newer games such as crysis / stalker / CnC 3 / UT3 / Bioshock may make it a little hot...

You don't NEED a cooler for any game--it just helps to keep the heat down and will probably prolong the life of your notebook. All of those games are pretty "calm" and won't get the notebook too hot. The best thing to do would to keep an eye on temperatures and if you notice them spiking, check out the cooling guide and/or a notebook cooler.
