This is a rephrase of the problem with my Z63A/W3A.

As my earlier post indicated, persistent shut-downs started occurring two days after a wrong AC cable was used. Even though the cable was able to help power the system on, and did so for two days, now the system refuses to stay on. It simply shuts down in the middle of a repair process.

I checked and the fan works. At first I thought the power system was damaged, but then I am not sure why it would power up in the first place, if it was indeed damaged.

I would appreciate further help in diagnosing this problem.

    Thanks - EK
