All 4 on this page are slated for begining of April. The W1G however will be upgraded to the 915 and have different video... I don't know why that doesn't say so though.

Am I missing something? The M5 doesn't say it's getting the 915gm chipset, only the S5 and the M6.

Reading this it looks like the M6 is being replaced by the A6 series.
But essentially there will be no upgrades, except that the M6R which came with an integrated ATI gpu is now being replaced with the A6A.
This seems like a lot of sidesteping from ASUS, i'm disappointed.
I was hoping for much more, there were hints that ASUS was going to be one of the first to release a notebook with an X700, would have been nice, but looks like it will be much later in the year for those things. :(

No, actually they aren't replacing the M6 with a totally new model.. The A6 is a totally different notebook.... If anything, the V6 is what is really in my opinion, the "replacement"... but it's really just another option... one more thing between the W3 and W1... similiar enough to the M6 as far as swappable drives and so forth..

Right now there Asus on a whole is starting to use current chassis' in multiple ways depending on the market. As you can see with the current models, on Asus' international site you'll see 4 or 5 different versions. One thing can certainly be said, Asus US office is not interested in bringing anything in unless it's really top end.

Also, the M5 will turn sonoma in or around April. Basically, most of the new notebooks will come out in March. All current notebooks that have been out for about a year or less, will get changed into the new chipset a month after that. So, there really will be a lot of choices.

S5 and W5 do get their updated 915GM chipsets. It was printed on the other pages in the catalog. I think it was just an error there.
