Just putting up this info in case people didn't know about it. Asus always has it's latest drivers and BIOS on its German ftp site. Here are the link's.

    ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/NOTEBOOK/

Goto the M6x00ne folder for the latest bios
Goto the M6x00n folder for the latest drivers.

Also for the latest firmware for the combo asus drive
    go here

    Great find.

Wow.. there's a new BIOS for the M6Ne
Maybe I should give it a shot

UPDATE: Well, I just flashed the new "0206" BIOS for the M6 and I notice that the fan comes on earlier now... it starts up at 3000RPM at around 70 degrees celsius (it used to come on at 75) and it turns off at ~65 degrees. That's an improvement, albeit a small one.. but I'm happier now knowing that my CPU isn't so hot all the time. Also, the BIOS logo screen has changed slightly in that the "Intel Centrino" logo is now a rectangle, when it used to be a rounded rectangle. Other than that, I see no other differences

ASUS M6800Ne, P-M 1.5 Dothan, 512MB Ram, Tohiba Combo drive, Samsung Spinpoint M 40G HDD with 8M cache, Mobility Radeon 9700

Interesting they don't have the 0206 up!

Asus USA and Taiwan never have the latest Bios or Drivers. This is also the case for asus motherboards, Asus germany is the place to go for the latest stuff. Seems that their R&D is based there. I flashed my bios to 206 and it works fine.

I have the ASUS Z9000, where would I find the latest drivers? And would this help with my computer performance?
Dont get me wrong I am very happy with my performance, but always looking for a 'better' computer.
    Thanks,

Distance, on that site the ones that relate to our notebook are found here ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/NOTEBOOK/L4x00R/ as the z9000 is called the L4000 everywhere else in the world but north america. The drivers I was most eagerly looking for, video, turned out to be the same as on all the rest of the Asus websites. They do list 2 newer bios versions but I'm really leary about installing them as I'm on version 1.06 and it's running just fine.

thanks sketch. I have updated from the ASUS website and not real confident on updating the BIOS just yet, as with yours, my laptop is running fine.
BTW I am very happy with my computer....
