    Latest news on the M5N fan

    I just called Asus North America recently and they said they have released a revised version of the fan for the M5N model.

    Does anyone have any info on this.
    1) Is there actually a new and revised fan
    2) Asus gave me two sperate product numbers for the fan and heatsink. Do i have to replace just the fan or both the fan and heatsink to solve to high pitch whistle like sound problem
    3) Is the fan free if i am still under warranty
    4) If the fan is free do i have to send it back to asus or can i just bring it back to the store i bought it from


    5) I heard the fan problem doesnt exist for the z33a model, if so, can you install the z33a fan in the M5N since they have the same layout and design.


    If you got any info or new soloutions on the latest of the M5N fan issue, please post it
