W3V will be in my hands tomorrow afternoon. Will I be a happy man with a song in my heart, or will Justin be making friends with Halley's comet? Stay tuned...

Halley's Comet...... haha... If your complaint about the Z7 was the screen, I think the system is full of positives except obviously having less VRAM...... other than that.... every inch of that is better than the Z7..... Since you sounded like you liked most everything about the Z7 but the screen... I hope you're happy.
Thanks,
Justin

Yah, the screen really was the killer. I figure with the W3V I can get most of the performance with some upgrading, selling off the old parts in the process to soften the blow to the wallet. The only thing that seems to suck about it is the video. It's fine for the one game I play now, and it's the same thing I had on my Dell, but it would've been nice to have the power to burn.
Oh well, maybe next year we'll get some 6600 or x700 level gpu action in there.

He showed up at 9:45? Wow.... they don't even show up that early at places that get the priority overnight packages... you must be very close to the start of his route then, right? I mean, I know you said he usually shows up at noon....... so wow, usually they are so set in their ways that you can bet on when they'll show up.
Thanks,
Justin

Well, looks like I *WON'T* be getting my W3V today after all.
Apparently, the FedEx guy decided that today would be a great day to show up at 9:45 in the morning, just 15 minutes before I arrived back at my house from the store. Now, they have NEVER shown up before 12 in the entire 2 years I've been living here, and this clown is a contractor or something so he won't be returning to the terminal so I can pick the package up.
I'm absolutely furious right now.

That's what's got me so pissed off. You can usually count on these guys to the minute... and this clown, with one of the most anticipated (and expensive) packages I've ever received, decides to throw me a loop.
If he shows up even a minute after 9:45 a.m. tomorrow, I'm going to kick him in the nuts.

Lets put it this way..... one reason we only ship through FedEx Express and not say... the ground or home FedEx guys is because of that. If you call up FedEx and tell them you had a problem with the ground guy, they'll make you think ground isn't a part of FedEx at all.... thats how much they screw up.... From what I hear, the ground guys are often like Ace Ventura (if that scene didn't just pop in your head, you'll never understand).
Then the Home Fedex guys are independant..... they can deliver up till like 10pm.... and if they don't have anything to delivery by you for a few days, they'll deliver it when they can....
Then you can get into insure recovery on those two lines...... and even UPS..... It's crazy... but they're all reasons why we only do Express..... incase anyone was curious. I'd call up FedEx and yell at them.
Thanks,
Justin

I find that things you are not really in a rush for always show up as scheduled, and things you just can't wait to get your hands on becomes a mess.
I still remember sitting by the window when I was a kid, waiting for UPS to show up with my parts to fix my RC car. -

haha, but you gotta love the feeling when you hear the door bell and look outside and see a big fedex/ups truck and some dude with a clipboard and pen in one hand and a big box in the other.
at my vancouver home, i must be close, cuz packages always arrive at 9:15 sharp, which is great.

Sometimes I wish I delivered ground and ran into girls like the one where Ace Ventura delivers that little white dog to that really fine, "HOT" girl... how can I ever repay you?.. classic [
