Is this acceptable or not? =/
Im very satisfied with the laptop in overall, except from the speakers. But if im buying something this pricey i would like it to be top notch =/

That looks quite quite alot, but its in the dark, so it greatly exaggerates the leakage.
Perhaps send an email to your dealer and see if they can replace it? -

Yeah, the image is really over exposed, otherwise the windows logo would look right. Given that, I think you're screen is in the normal range of light leakage. Its a bummer, but it seems like a more and more prevelant problem these days.

Thats absolutely fine once windows loads up im sure u dont notice it also, try and take a picture dead on centre cos from higher angle due to poor vertical viewing angles of most 14" screen it will exaggerate(sp) the light leakage

It actually looks like that.... Its a little bit over exposed though. Most laptop LCDs are like that. There are very few that aren't like that. If you are a photographer i would advice you to go with an external panel.

I agree with the rest... it does seem like quite a bit leakage, but I'd also say that it's within normal range of leakage. I've seen worse screens... and better, of course. It really does depend on the angle...

lol, I do have to admit, people tend to over exaggerate the problems, hence, in a weird way it seems entertaining when a thread like these keep popping up. The leakage isn't bad when you got color on the screen, and the only major con, as everyone knows is the viewing angle especially the vertical.

My screen has light leakage from the bottom like that but the reality is less than your picture.
Mine doesnt have light leakage from the top right like yours seems to though.
If that is straight on youll notice its less visible when the screen is at the slight angle you would normally view it on.
