    Thanks for the deal...verging on ordering; Coupla questions though:
    (1) The DVD-RW self-upgrade that you have listed on your site: Is it truly only 2x?? Seriously? Only 2x? DVD + or -? Rewriteable?
    (2) Noise wise, how does it compare to the M5N? (My wife has one, and it is loud loud loud). I have resorted to shutting the M5N fan off. (I know you've been through this extensively in other threads...I don't mean to haul that ghost out of the closet...I'd just like some (im)partial information from you as to the W5A noise level)
    (3) How durable is the white case finish? Does it make more sense to order the black version?
    (4) Does the 2% discount you've previously offered apply on top of this deal?

    Anyhoo...sorry to clutter your thread. Just thinking that this info may be useful to others considering the W5A. Thanks in advance...

    1. yes, only 2x -rw... it's the super slim drive from the V6..... and there is NOTHING faster for that size.. panasonic has not come out with faster drives for that smaller form factor.

    2. Haha... don't ask me..... try to ask someone else..... The W5 as others have said (note I don't want to put my opinion in the ring again)..... the W5 and the NEW M5a (z33a) are about the same...... that was supposed to be an improvement over the M5n.

    3. I like white, I like black.... it's a personal preference.. the white will need cleaning if you have grubby hands, but then again.. if you do, why are you ordering white? Some warm water on a paper towel cleans it up nice.. don't worry.

    4. We're not running anything in conjuction with sale items......

    okay...firstly sorry for a message that doestn' really relate to this..but i would like to add,

    in australia:

    Asus W5a 730 - black edition
    Asus W5a 740 - white edition

    no 'special editions' one..just white is the better version
