Hi All,
I've tried searching (forum, google) for information but, for the most part, it seems to be very fragmented and grounded more in hearsay than actual facts.
So, my question is this -- Is there is a list somewhere of which Asus laptops allow the user to enable VT (Virtualization Technology) in the BIOS? Or, should I just research each laptop individually to find out?
Unfortunately, VT is a requirement for me and any laptop that doesn't have it is pointless for me to pursue. So, I'm basically trying to cut down on my own work by taking advantage of the community's knowledgebase.
Thanks,
Z.

I've been trying to find out myself, haven't had much luck. The only one that I know if is the Dell vostro/insprion line. I'm really interested in the V1s, I'm thinking I might email one of the vendors

The V1S DOES have VT in the BIOS. I have it turned on for my Virtual machines.
-
It does? I didn't see this option yet. I have to check this out immediately.

excellent news! Tx for the info DTrump!
-
OK I do NOT have any VT option in my V1S BIOS.
-
The g1s also has VT enabled !
-
On the V1S I didn't see anything about it in the BIOS but MS Virtual PC certainly acknowledges its there. It does need to be enabled on VPC 2007 before it can be on individual Virtual Machines. Good stuff.

I'd ask if there are any new BIOS updates, but I assume you've all checked that out?

@DirkTheDaring
So you V1S DOES have VT? -
-
OK, this is very good.
-
On the V1S, there is nothing for VT in the BIOS, but it appears to be enabled automatically on the machine. You just need to enable it in the Virtual PC settings.
Again, my apologies. -
Hello DTrump. Thanks for the information.
List of VT-Enabled Laptops (or am I dreaming?)
