Hey guys.. got my notebook back today from Asus after i had to do an RMA with them cause the video card got fried.. or something.

Its an asus G1s notebook, they actually gave me a 9500M GS card when doing the repair so i came out alright lol. However when i recieved the laptop back everything was fine except that my LAN/WLAN card is no longer there.. or at least the device manager says that. I know its actuallly in there i just can't find the driver to get it installed.. ive tried a few and nothing has worked. I need some help to actually get the card to even show up.. cause now its not.

    Thanks guys.

they gave you a g1sn motherboard which happens to have the 9500gs. go to intel.com and download the driver for the 4965 fiwi card

Do you have any devices in Device Manager with a yellow question mark, or none at all?

If not, then it would appear that the hardware is malfunctioning (or WLAN card missing??), or the Windows installation is bad.

I would suggest you try to start a different OS such as Linux and see if it detects the cards. Make sure it's a recent version, and that it includes support for the type of LAN/WLAN hardware you (should) have. If it does detect the LAN and WLAN then Windows is probably at fault. Else, I think it's hardware and you need to RMA.
