    Hi Guys!

Well as you all know we were closed last week to do inventory and I got a week and half to finally get some R&R and take a vacation......... I wanted to give you a few updates on some things.

#1: We *just* and I mean a couple hours ago, recieved 80 and 100gb 7200rpm Seagate hard drives. We've already got them sku'd up and on the configuration pages (they're expensive, but they're AWESOME and FINALLY here). They are in very tight supply, we only have 25 of the 100gb and 10 of the 80gb.

#2: Z83vb.... I finally had some time to play with it and if you don't need the res, you're not going to find a better 17" system...... however, I need the res, so you won't see me touting it like the W2. But they're instock along with that P4 monstrosity the Z81sp.

#3: The Z70v is EOL (end of life). Asus ran out while we were closed and then we ran out with orders from that week.... Asus said they decided not to order more in contridicting what they said earlier which was to keep it in the lineup as it's between the Z70a and va in spec and price.... but no more.

#4: The W1n is EOL.... gone for good... Asus ran out and that's it. If you missed that awesome deal they had running, I'm sorry but it's too late... Maybe a new W1 will show up next year (but don't count on it).

#5: V6v came back in stock the other day and the ETA of November was obviously removed.... Asus apparently got some super slim drives and were able to make a shipment.

#6: The pearl S5a and black W5a are on their way out. They are "EOL" in a way.... Asus isn't discontinuing them, but the US office is because they want to focus on the white W5a and those other two models take some of it's thunder. If you're looking for either of those two, we've only got a few left and I know most everyone else is completely out of them and Asus technically ran out weeks ago.

#7: I need some recovery time and have a business trip tomorrow and through the weekend, so I won't be posting again till probably Monday. If anyone needs me specifically, please email or obviously just email sales@proportable for sales stuff.

I think that's about it.... I can't think of anything else right now of any importance, so have a great night.

They're expensive, look at the site... we're not selling them seperately, only with complete systems... they're like $130 more than the 60gb/7200rpm's which are expensive.

I think it had a lot to do with the final cost of the z70va once they made their large shipments.... it's only about $125 more than the v and it was supposed to be twice that.

I really like the W3V computer, but how is Asus when it comes to customer service? Are they like HP where it takes 3 weeks just to get something fixed? Also, I noticed Portable one MX is offered with a 100GB 7200 rpm HD. Is this a typo or is it realy a 5400 rpm?

They add parts to the w3v, which voids the global warranty by ASUS but uses their own warranty instead
