This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Looking for Compatible 1000HA EEEpc MOBO swap

    Looked around and haven't seen any threads, I unfortunately nuked my EEEpc by plugging it into a VGA style plug on a hotel TV/Computer trying to get a bigger screen to look at pics-it would seem they rigged voltage thu the plug probably as a anti Theft device :mad:, downside, it made my EEEpc go pop.

    Looking to see what options are available to do a motherboard swap, as I dont even see the 1000ha MB on the Asus parts site (overpriced I'm sure), but I know that same case was used on a lot of different EEEpc's of that generation..perhaps even on newer models, as it would have been cheaper..

    .. thought it might be a useful thought to other owners looking for a slight upgrade as well.

    Here's a pic of the case, and the MotherBoard. If you have a EEEpc with the same Generation case, but different Model, let me know (would be slick if there was something newer, might have to extend some cables, etc...
