So far I have found a few. but the best one seems to be this one:

    http://www.iogear.com/main.php?loc=product&Item=GME225B

But I read that thier is a delay between moving the mouse and when the cursor moves. Anyone have this mouse or can confirm this problem?

Anyone have a mini bluetooth mouse that works well at a reasonable price?
I found the Iogear for $34.99, but not wanting to spend more then $60

$35 for a bluetooth mouse? I'd quertion that..... Logitech makes the MX 1000 I believe it is..... I like that one... but it'sw not a notebook sized mouse.

MX1000 is a laser RF mouse. (and a great one at that)

the Logitech bluetooth mouse is the MX900. I was thinking about getting that one myself, but it's too big, bulky, and expensive. the charging station is also huge.

The one I'm thinking of getting now is the Anycom BTM-100. can be found for about $40 to $50. It doesn't come with a bluetooth dongle though, it's designed to work with laptops with integrated bluetooth. It's recharageable via USB, 800dpi resolution, and has a use time of ~20 hours.

Other than those two, there really aren't many good BT mice out. Microsoft also has a bluetooth Intellimouse explorer, but it's in the same league as the Logitech.

Yeah, I'm sorry....... I've got both and was a bit confused...... the Mx900 is a BT and the Mx1000 is Laser RF...... Both are AWESOME....... if they made the BT model look and have the accuracy of the MX Lazer.... it would be my only mouse... but both have their good and bad points I guess.

The Iogear is $70 normally, but buy.com has a deal on them with free shipping. Plus I think the price is a little less because it lacks the BT dongle since it's made for laptops with integrated BT. But I heard some good reviews and bad reviews. So I wanted to see if anyone had tried out the mouse to see if it's any good or not. because at $35 it's a steal if it's a half way decent mouse

I have a logitech mx900 mouse. When you let it sit idle for a few mins and then move it ther is a slight delay, but other than that it is very responsive. My only complaints are that it is kinda big and the charging station is also annoying, and you pay for a bluetooth stack that you cant use.

Yeah... the BT is put into a powersaving mode I believe... I think you can change that setting, just like the powersaving features on the screen and stuff like that.

I have the Microsoft Blue Tooth which I love. But I admit I haven't tried any others. I chose it for the regular batteries that I can pop in when the old ones die. I did not want to be restricted with a charger. Just food for thought.

the Iogear has rechargable AAA batteries. If you like, you can use standard non recharagable battiers. One of the big concerns is the size, I have a microsoft BT intelli, but thats way to big to lug around.

Does one need to use the bluetooth stack that comes with the MX900 or can one just use a laptops integrated bluetooth?

You are forced to use the bluetooth that cames with the w3v, it won't let you install the bluetooth stack that comes with the mouse. I guess this is good since the whole point of getting a bluetooth mouse is to take advantage of the integrated bluetooth but you also kinda waste your money on the bluetooth stack that comes with the mouse.

I just bought the MS bluetooth mouse and love it. I also bought the internal BT card for my Dell 9300. I tried installing the Dell drivers for the BT card and it put this icon on my desktop every time window starts or waking up in standby mode. Deleted it many times but it still came back. I uninstalled the Dell drivers and just use whatever windows has for BT and it works like a champ.

What is the BT stack? i don't really know that much about BT. But why is one stack better then another? For instance, Ray50000 you say that you waste your money on the BT stack that comes with the mouse. Whats the benifit to using one stack over the other and what does the stack do?

You may have to wait for one of these new Logitech keyboard+mouse combos:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=23466&highlight=logitech+rolling

Both sets have Bluetooth (v2.0) MX1000 laser mouse, and I'll guess that they'll put the "MX1000 for Bluetooth" mouse on sale also by itself soon. Bluetooth v2.0 devices should be backwards compatible with v1.1 or v1.2, so I think that it should work fine in those earlier versions of Bluetooth also.

A BT stack is just a BT reciever. Since some laptops came with built in bluetooth recievers the recievers that come with a bluetooth mouse would be useless because you would want to use the internal bluetooth on your laptop.

I use the blue tooth stack that came with my microsoft mouse on my desk top while I'm home. When I'm on the road I just throw my mouse in the brief case with the laptop.

The IOGEAR laptop BT mouse doesnt come with a BT stack, I suppose thats one of the reasons it is at a lower price. Good news for people with integrated BT.

A Bluetooth Stack is just the bluetooth software on your computer to connect to devices. Contary to belief, you CAN use a different BT stack than what the manufacturer provides (I myself am using the Widcomm stack on my W3V instead of the included Toshiba one).

    Hi.

I'm doing the same research and I've found basicaly the following options: IOGear, Bluetake BT500, PilotMouse, Anycom BTM-100.

Have you decided about would be the best one?

I just read good reviews about the Anycom's model. I'm thinking about going with it... Any complaints?

    6 months later...

the BT mice options are still largely unchanged. Logitech has the v270, and Kensington has 2 BT mice, a large one and a mini one.

i don't really see why they haven't made more and better ones!

i bought the mini iogear one. It was too small for me. I returned it to buy.com. I use the microsoft one now. It just a normal intelli(whatever) mouse. That uses BT instead of RF. Big complaint with it is no on/off switch. But I've never replaced the batteries in the 8mon I've owned it. Though I don't use it super often.

I would recommend the Logitech V270 bluetooth mouse. It is exactly like the simple, plain, 2 AA battery RF mouse that Asus used to include with some of their systems, except that it is bluetooth instead of RF. And it can be found for under $50 shipped.

I personally didnt like the MS Intellimouse Explorer Bluetooth. I found it too big, you cant turn it off, and the scroll wheel doesnt click into place at all, it moves smoothly... I found that to be very problematic.

i'm affraid that the Iogear will be too small, and likewize with all the other "mini" mice out there.

i think i'll most likely be using a mouse on a desk anyways, so size isnt really an issue. ..but selection IS!!

not that i'm pushing the MS product, but another cool thing about MS mouse is the inclusion of BT receiver dongle. I know the mini-mice don't come with one not sure about the logitech. My BT notebook doesn't need it, obviously, but now I can add BT to my desktop as well.

I am using Logitech V270. It doesn't have the forward/backward button, but I do like the size and the shape. It also has long battery life and good distance. It also come with a nice sleeve/pocket to carry around.

Actually was about to purchase the Logitech V270 Bluetooth, but my sales rep offered me a deal I could not pass up on the MX900 [now discontinued].
It may be a little big to go with my W5... lol
If it becomes a pain I'll just get the V270 and keep the XM900 for the XPC. :D

Could you guys post the dimensions for the x270?, the dimensions I found online are rather large, I think it is a measurement of the packaging rather than the mouse. I wanted to compare it with the size of the anycom mouse. I wish the MX900 was still around, I wouldn't mind carrying that around.

How long do the batteries in a V270 last (hours)? Is the V270 significantly heavier than say a regular USB mouse?

For the meantime, I can tell you it's definitely smaller than the MX900... :D

Now I have the bluetooth module for my Z63a though not installed yet. I will be buying the Logitech V270 once my bluetooth module is installed and functional. Any recommended Canadian suppliers?

Couldn't resist asking. Can someone help to installed the bluetooth module. Its a tiny 12mm wide x 25 mm long with antenna connection on one end and special connection from the other end weighs only 1.3g. It looks like a Bluetooth V2.0 to me.

Do not, I repeat, do not spend one red cent on an anycom mouse.

I have one and it became completely useless in less than a month. There is some inherent flaw that causes the left button to go haywire. When I left click it either won't register a click or it registers several. For example, if I click on the shortcut to open my browser, sometimes it won't open at all and other times I will get 5 plus pages open. That mouse is terrible, and so is customer service. There is only one guy who handles it apparently, and he is never in his office. Ultimately, I would have to pay to ship it back and then they send me another for free that would probably eventually start doing the same thing. Just check out the message board on there customer service site. Several people have been having this problem.

In short, the anycom BTM-100 sucks.

Thanks that would be great! I was taking a look at my options last night, the Anycom mouse looks pretty cool but after reading phrozen's post I'm going to have to do some more research on it. I saw the new Logitech G7 mouse, it's not bluetooth, but it looks promising for my style of use, I wonder if size would really matter for me anyway?

MSI has a BM-100. Is Anycom BTM-100 a rebaged MSI BM-100? See the link here:

    http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=BM100&class=com

I am seriously considering this one, as it is small and suitable for carrying around.
