I have a Asus S62J and I need a new oem Asus keyboard.
The part # on the back of my original keyboard is 04GNI51KUS00
I found a place selling authentic asus Z62F keyboards but the part # is 04GNG51KUS00
I thought s62J is the same as z62j, then z62f should have the same keyboard as z62j.
So, based on the slightly different part #s, will the z62f keyboard work ok in my s62j?

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
The z62 and s62 chassis is exactly the same (the -j vs -f only denoted gpu configuration), as were the majority of parts that were included (the S series was just the VBI model). Asus would have used the same keyboard for that entire line, and you should be fine. Personally, I think the seller made a typo in their listing and missed the I in the part #.
You might want to check the Asus eStore too, however, to check whether the price might be better. -

I put the following in google:
04GNI51KUS00: the results say Z96 series keyboard
04GNG51KUS00: the results say Z62 series keyboard
So I would guess the Z96 and the Z62 have the same chassis and keyboard as well? -

Well, the chassis' are not the same (z96 is 15", z62 is 14"), so they aren't necessarily guaranteed to fit. However, the keyboards on the S62 and z62 series will definitely be interchangeable.
Or, since your current keyboard is apparently the -96 series item, you could just order another one and try it out since presumably it would fit.
Looking for keyboard for Asus S62J, will Z62F keyboard work?
