but was advised in order to run a specific program i need to update my intel hd graphics. my date of install of these graphics is 2010 and i see various updates on the intel site for 2011 that match my computer set up. when i installed one that i thought was the right one it said that my install was invalid and the wrong one. i find the intel downloads site incredibly complicated and want some help finding the right drivers please.

When installing any drivers, I always recommend going to the ASUS site and downloading the driver specific for your model. It is often not the most up to date version of the driver, but it has been tested to work with the machine. I have seen several situations where new drivers released by the manufacturer of the component may not work well with the entire system.
