Hi
I have a Asus Transformer Flipbook TP300L and everytime i turn the laptop on, the fan ramp straight up to 100%. This is too loud for me and the CPU is at 35C ish which is very good on a laptop. I was wondering is there a way to lower the fan speed? And i know the risk of lowering the fan speed can cause hotter CPU and all that, but it is just too loud for me to work with. It is like a tornado on your lap. So please can anyone help me.

Is the fan activity really high only during POST? Or does it continue to run at full throttle even once Windows has finished booting?
The fan profile is controlled by the EC firmware. You may need to flash that. -
it is on full fan speed when in Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 as well. I tried to use a fan controller software.

Sorry, missed the reply.
Not sure which model you have, but Asus has a firmware update for the thermal policy. If it applies to your model, perhaps that will work: https://www.asus.com/2-in-1-PCs/ASUS_Transformer_Book_Flip_TP300LA/HelpDesk_Download/
(See "lx-4xxxxU" and "Others," then find the BIOS update)
