    M2400N Network Controller Driver Problem

    Complete newbie with notebooks.

    No discs came with pc, hard drive crash, new hard drive, new windows xp sp2, no drivers, found "all" of them on asus download site.

    Device manager says I have 2 devices still with no drivers:

    1. Unknown device

    2. Network controller

    Installed network CARD drivers OK, but it won't work without network controller.

    What driver do I need to install?

    PS Try as I might, why can't I find a search button on this forum to search the threads for my answer???? Am I blind, or just plain stupid.....

    There's a search button on top of the page, with option to search for username or keyword.

    Thanks, found it. For some reason it only appears on my pc in certain pages.

    Anyways, that hasn't solved my problem.

    The unknown device has corrected itself with an install of the latest bios, but the network controller still has no driver installed.

    Any ideas ANYBODY????

    I still don't get what the difference is between a network adapter and network controller.
