    Hi!

I've recently tried to use my car ac adapter.. but unluckily I forgot to check polarity and I burnt sth on my laptop's motherboard. It is still working, although it behaves as if there was no power adapter connected so it can't work for too long ;). Anyway, I've disassembled it and found the tiny element (probably transistor) which got burnt. One of its pins is ~directly connected to the DC input. I don't want to send it for a repair as they wanted ~ 200 USD which is more less the cost of new mobo and I already got a new laptop.. but I'd like to fix it and give it to my gf.

Is there anyone who has pictures of their mobos and could help me identify this element? It's code starts with L, but I can't read anything more :/ I guess similar laptops would have this element too. It's located on the bottom side of the mobo near battery pins.

Any help will be highly appreciated.
