Ive got an M51VR series laptop and the left button on the touchpad works maybe 1 time in 20. Im fairly sure its gummed up with sand and dust.

Is there a guide or can someone tell me how to gain access to the touchpad so i can clean it? Ive tried removing various screws but so far been unable to lift the silver plastic lid surrounding it.
