Apart from being more Orangey and not released yet, what are the main differences between the m50sv (latest release) and the G50? Are the cases the same. Sorry if this is a daft question, but I am confusing myself going back and forwards, and forgetting what has what.

I was considering an XPS1530 but want something that won't melt :)

Had a look at a g70 today, which was very nice but quite expensive. Have to say I'm really impressed with the quality of Asus.

Also, any idea on the price differential between the two above.

    Thanks!

    Pete

Thanks. I guess that means I'll have to be patient. Wonder if it will take even longer to get to the UK. Anyone know how the UK fares for release dates from Asus. None of the retailers I asked had a release date for the g50. I like Orange :)

If Asus is anything like Nintendo, you won't get it for two years. :p

On a more serious note, if you're not doing any graphically intensive work or any serious gaming, the G50 is overkill. The M50 is a multimedia laptop and is mid-range where as the G50 is a gaming laptop and is high end.

I really would have liked to have decided to get the G50 with the dual hard drive, better processor, etc, but for what I'll use it for i couldnt justify spending the extra money.
