    Something like a tv remote that I can use to control windows media player. I often hook up my laptop through HDMI to the TV to play movies and it is a pain to have to go to the laptop to pause whatever I am watching.

    Not sure about the M50SA, but the M50SV has an IR port on the front and it works with a Pinnacle MCE remote that I got from woot.com. I use the remote for an HTPC, and when I noticed the IR port I figured I would try it and it works right out of the box, didnt need to install anything on the laptop.

    Now I am trying to find an expresscard IR remote that will work. The HP MCE one doesnt seem to. Apparently ASUS makes their own expresscard MCE remote but I cant find it for sale anywhere.
