    Hi guys,

I've been using the laptop for three days and I've noticed the missing keystrokes are starting to build up. Even typing this message fairly slow, I am missing one or two keystrokes after a several keystrokes.

Does anyone have this similar problem? I know that flex on the keyboard can affect having keys recognized or not. I am typing harder than normal purposely and is still making a significant amount of keys I pressed. For passwords, which are usually recognized by me, are missed by the keyboard as well. This also happens to the backspace button and the space button.

Maybe I will try plugging in an external keyboard tomorrow to see if this continues.

I think I found the solution to my own problem.

I was getting so frustrated and I started to look into different things in control panel and accessories. There is an option you can go to, which is in control panel > Ease of Access Controls > Make The Keyboard easier to use > filter key.

I don't know if this will really solve my problem, but I will try it out myself.

    EDIT: Didn't help

I get missing strokes alot not just on my aging 12" but on my desktop as well. I type very fast. Too fast. I also do not use all 10 fingers just 4 fingers. Get used to it or try to apply even pressure. Missing keystroke (unless its always on the same letter) is most likely just you getting used to the new keyboard. It gets better.

Actually I remember a thread about this exact same thing being posted a week or so ago. I'm not sure if a solution was posted or if the OP came back to say whether the suggestions worked -- but suggestions were given.

So, please do the search. Use the google box in the blue area on top of the page, since the vbulletin search is disabled.

Yeah, I guess I am not not used to the keyboard on the laptop yet. I will see if things get better. Do you think the flex on the keyboard is causing the problem?

I did use the search button, but I did not see one for the laptop that I was referring to.

I find that this problem occurs only when I'm posting in one particular forum that I frequent. So it's an isolated case for me and probably due to the software that the forum uses.

Flex does nto cause any problems. Flex only causes picky people to go crazy. I try all types of keyboards and all types of manufacturers. I am a firm believer that i type fast, acurate and it dont matter what the keyboard feels like. They are all layed out the same way with the same spacing. I dont give 2 dimes about what a keystroke feels like or what it sounds like. It takes time to convert from one keyboard to another. Anyone that disagrees is picky and probably feels the same way about other things, infact most of the people on this forum are picky otherwise they would buy dell or hp. A keyboard is a keyboard. The only difference is in the sound and keystroke. I hear the term "flex" everyday. Who cares? like your finger is falling through you keyboard. Plastic and aluminum parts have flex. You have to press on them to even see it.

I believe that is the case with me. It seems like this forum (for me) causes more missing keystrokes than other forums I visit.

Yeah, I was trying to figure out if it has anything to do with it. Right now, if I don't fix the missing keystrokes, it would be a total mess, trust me.
