    Hello everyone.
I got M50SV-A1 couple of months ago. Today I was leaving and put it in hibernate. After coming back in about 4-6 hours, turned it on, but the display wouldn't show anything. After some time I actually noticed that I can just baaaarely see the screen when splash logo comes up at start up and login page. After logging in it just stays black and I can't see anything.

Tried connecting power, disconnecting, taking out battery.

I called Asus and they will be taking it for repairs. But in the mean time while I wait for shipping box to arrive I just thought I'd ask if anyone heard of this issue and knew what it could be related to.

If you can see the dim image on the screen, either the inverter has died, or the backlight itself.

In either case, it's an RMA that will solve the issue. Physical components need to be replaced.
