This may seem like a dumb question, but I'm having trouble figuring it out.
How exactly do you use the media touchpad? There are times when the lights on the touchpad light up, and there are times when it doesn't. I know that when it lights up, you can use it for media purposes in windows media player, and when the lights are off it acts as a normal cursor.
So, how do I turn the toggle the touchpad between media mode and cursor mode?
What does the lightning symbol with numbers 1 and 2 on the touchpad mean?
What does the word "MODE" on the touchpad refer to?
Please help me, as none of this is mentioned in the manuals that came with the laptop.
Any help would be appreciated

MODE changes it between multimedia and touchpad mode.
The two lightning symbols are customizable buttons, which you set to open specific programs. -
I just realized what the MODE button does before I read your reply. Lol, I'm so stupid.
Um, where can I customize the two lightning symbols? -
That, I don't know until mines ships
sorry.

Speaking of which, does anybody know if the top buttons to launch whatever asus programs can be reassigned to launch different programs?
-
man, i honestly keep pressing mode all the time by mistake.
To configure what you want to load for the "lightning1 n 2" whenever mines light up, if i press it, an option pops up asking what program i want to run.
i havent set any as yet tho.
Also, try not to press it too many times. I make that mistake and it causes it to remain on when it shouldnt lol -
I can't get mine to work
When I had it with default install that came with my M50 it worked then i formatted and installed Vista 64 bit now it doesnt
I go into Mouse, device settings and enable button mode when i press top right but it doesn't work, the only time it works is it i set it to automatically turn on when external device is connected...anyone have a solution? -
What touchpad driver have you installed in your 64 installation? The one on the drivers CD?
