Alright, got a huge problem with my brand spanking new M50Vm-B1.

I just set up a wireless network in my house, everything is great, runs on every other computer..except my Asus.
Now, when I have my wireless card off via the switch the splash screen saying "Wireless LAN OFF" appears..when I switch it to ON...Same freakin splash with OFF comes up.

Gone into my device manager, disabled and re-enabled, checked drivers, reinstalled software, the whole 9 yards.
Still cant get the **** card to switch on.

    Suggestions?

You havent interfered with anything on vista right?

Try the Fn+F2 to enable and disable it.

Did you use the drivers that came in the driver's CD ASUS provided?

What router are you using? I can just troubleshoot lol... other users can help you out in the other aspects ;)

Together with the WiFi drivers you could also reinstall the ATK drivers. Those are responsible for the switch controls.

I actually just did a system restore, and it seems to have given me the ability to switch it again.

So maybe I messed with something in config, who knows?
At any rate, thanks for the suggestions.
Im actually going to reinstall some of the ATK stuff now, I think I may have uninstalled some of it.

Are any of them not needed?
    Like ATKMedia?

I'm not sure what ATK Media does. ATKHotkey is needed. ATKOSD is just for the pretty display when you press the buttons. ATK drivers are certainly needed, and so is the so-called ATK Generic Function Utility, if you have it.
