Hi. I’m not terribly tech literate, so I’m having some trouble figuring out whether the Asus M50Vm-B4 is a full Centrino 2 notebook or not.

I’ve read that some notebooks are offering parts of the Centrino 2 upgrade but not the whole package: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-centrino-2,1969-6.html

Further confusing my research, Asus does not list the M50Vm-B4 on its website at all (actually, they seem to have removed most of the M50Vm notebooks from their products page).

Newegg ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220356&Tpk=m50vm-b4) and GenTech ( http://1toppc.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=M50VM-B4&Category_Code=) both list the M50Vm-B4 as Centrino 2 (though GenTech’s product page for the B4 seems to be a mishmash of B1 Montevina and B4 Centrino 2 specs -- I assure you that the link provided is the B4 product link and not the B1) but I can’t tell if that means it has the new GM chipset, new wireless card and the new processors or if it features some combination of new and old.

Even if the M50Vm-B4 is fully Centrino 2, should I be worried about buying one today or tomorrow since the M50Vm notebooks have mysteriously vanished from Asus' product listings?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Edit: GenTech has corrected the product info. Looks like a good deal, too.
