Why is the Grey mmxc cable not hooked up to my 802.11 n/b/g Atheros AR928x network card? Not only is it not hook up there is no mmxc female connector to hook it up to. Why? Also which antenna connectors is for the N, G, and B antennas??
Thank You !!
Love and Peace!!

Not all N wifi cards will use all 3 antennas. For example, the Intel 5100 only uses two, while the 5300 uses three.

Thank you David.
Do you know what color antenna wires is the N cable G cable and The B cable, or what connectors are the n, g, and b connectors on my card??/ -
Each cable does not transmit/receive one particular band. Instead, there's usually one for the MAIN (usually gray) and one for AUX (usually black). The white antenna cable is reserved when there's a 3rd socket available.

If I would want to hook a external antenna to my card which mmcx connector would I have to hook it up to?? My card is backwards to the details you have stated, the gray cable is disconnected and the black and white are the 2 that are connected.
Thanks for being very helpful!
