    Please help!
I'm trying to figure out how to use the Power4 Gear (power saving feature). My M5N has a button that is supposed to activate/deactivate this feature. But I'm not quite sure when it's on or off.
Is there some kind of indicator that will allow me to verify the status of the Power4 Gear feature?

    Many thanks [ :)]

On the M6, the powergear button cycles through the various power modes and there is a display in the upper left corner of the screen for a couple of seconds during the change. The Power4Gear software has to be running.

Don't know if it's the same for your model.

Also you need to see HCONTROL.EXE and ATKOSD.EXE running in the task manager. HCONTROL is what detects all of the special buttons/keys. ATKOSD handles the On Screen Display when you're switching modes. They're installed as part of the Asus Utilities.

    Thank you for your responses.
I did not realize that the Asus Utilities package was not installed.
    It works now! [ :D]
