    Hi

just bought asus m5ne and i have two questions

first i dunno if this is normal but the fan on my machine never turns off yet with asus probe i see that the temp is between 40 - 50 celcius and the lowest the fan can go is 1300 RPM and its never turns off

is this kinda normal of is there a way to set this ??

FYI i use the power4gear set to auto performance cos i don't see any difference setting up the processor speed to only 32% in the asus probe still shows cpu performance 87.7%

Also how do i get to bios with this system ??

    thanks

m5n and m5ne should be the exact same exact m5ne is perl white. so anyways to get into bios, press F1 (or F2 i forgot) during the first screen (centrino logo) it's really quick. less than a second on my machine.

as for fan running all the time.. if you're plugging your lappy.. the fan will run all the time.. but other than that.. it shouldn't be. try to check if there's any thermal compound between cpu and heat sink. it's really easy to access.. just right by the ram on the back panel.. only have to take 2 screws to removed the plate and 4 screws to take out the heat sink. putting in good quality thermal paste helps.

    hope this help

btw.. where did you buy the m5ne. i still can't find it anywhere.

hi nightfly, could you tell me the specs on your m5ne? i am planning to go to capitol square to find Mr Pochi. Do you think he'll do me the same deal (or better?) i tried to find the shop last week, but couldn't find it upstairs. The only place i saw selling it was the one downstairs near 7/11 selling for $3189.
