This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    M5n fan noise & new bios past v0212

    Has anyone heard anything about a beta bios update for this notebook which helps to cure the fan noise. A friend mentioned he'd read something but I've not found any reference online to it. My current bios is the latest available officially from Asus.

    You'll rarely find beta bios' on Asus' US notebook site...... you'll find them on the US motherboard download pages, but rarely the notebooks... you can try the UK download site.
