hi
I am quite new to asus and since its the first note book i will buy from them i wanna know the difference between these two :
ASUS Notebook M6763V-LP: http://www.red-cloud.co.uk/catalogue.asp?action=showproduct&productid=947
ASUS Notebook M6858Ne-LP
http://www.red-cloud.co.uk/catalogue.asp?action=showproduct&productid=930
One difference as i could see is the speeds and specs, but apart from that are they different with a V or N at the end?
Also Is it a better model than the w3?

Very simple... first are you in the US or Europe? Because if you're in the US you'll see the first you there (M6763V-LP) as the Z70v (and it'll be configurable)..... This has 64mb dedicated graphics and when they say "128mb hypermemory" .. they're trying to trick you into thinking it's dedicated... it's not.
Now, the second one there (M6858Ne-LP), that is the M6ne from last year (855 chipset and 64mb ati 9700.
Now, if you would like me to throw some more fuel on your fire.... the newest model is the Z70va (M6va)... internal bluetooth and 128mb (dedicated) ATI x700 graphics... this is the Best, newest, most powerful model.
However, between the top you're looking at, the first one is the upgrade to the second one.. so the first one would be my choice unless of course you could get the second one for a really really good price that you couldn't turn down (but I doubt that). -
I am in europe and Z70 is not out here however the z71(customizeable) is available. Is it good
have a look:

I wouldn't suggest the Z71v over the Z70v or certainly va.....
The W3... well I don't need to shed light on that... this forum has been 75% at LEAST all abou the W3v for the last 5 months or more..... do some looking... but basically the M6v and W3v have the same power... the W3v is just smaller (basically).... I love my W3v and if you're looking for a mix of power and portability... the W3 is the best thing on the market you can find... -
i'll go for the w3 then
Thanks
