Hi! I just bought the M6000Ne barebones notebook but it doesnt come with a CD-RW drive. I heard that you have to buy it from Asus because theirs is the only one that will fit the M6N...so... I was wondering where I could get one? Thanks!

Correct, the barebone doesn't come with a drive.

The combo drives are about $90, if you need one of those, or any type of dvd burner, let me know we have a few different models.

Every drive is slightly different and has a slightly different carrier. Wide spread the only two drives from Asus avaialble to the masses are a toshiba combo drive and a toshiba 2x dvd burner. We special ordered some 4x panasonic dvd dual format burners this summer for the M6, I know no one else had these.... We've also taken 8x Dual Layer DVD Burners from the W1's and modified an M6 carrier to fit it....... a real pain.. seriously. I wouldn't suggest it because it involves some serious custom work and plenty of time. We've only done it for a few select M6 buyers and really don't want to do it again. However it can be done.

    Thanks,
    Justin

anyone know where i can find ASUS resellers in Hong Kong? I'm having difficulties finding shops that sell the M6, most only sell the other models. The only shop i found that sold the M6 only sells it with the outdated ATI 9600 and a 1.6 cpu.
