After much debate, I feel the Asus M6BNe may be the notebook I want. I had a few questions about it though...

-Is it possibly to have a white chassis? If so, where would I find it?

-What is the keyboard quality of this notebook and how might it compare to the top-of-the-line IBM keyboards?

-What is the screen quality? Horizontal viewing angle? Vertical viewing angle? Viewing the screen outdoors? Dim light?

-Lasty, where is the best place to buy this model? (Would I save a lot buying the chassis and putting the rest of the parts in myself?)

Thanks in advance to any answers to any of the above questions or other additional comments/experiences.

    - No........ You could get it in silver in China I think..... thats about it.

    - It's one of the best I've used, most all of Asus' keyboards are pretty much the same and all of them get good reviews. It's got a good throw and nice feel.

    - On the Bne (widescreen), you easily have 170 degrees horizontally, close to that vertically.

    - Don't know how much you'd "save" putting it together yourself. If you want to do it and want that experience, it's good idea. Don't bother with it if you think it's going to save you money. Most of the time it's really not, and in the time it takes you to build it, you'll even out at best. When you consider the warranty, testing and so forth.... it's up to you to decide. Have someone build it who's built thousands of them in the year they've been out, or risk it yourself... Don't get me wrong, it can be fun (thats why we're in business) but it's an individual choice you have to make.

    Thanks,
    Justin
